We’re starting a project that’s been a long time coming. Context: There are people who don’t know what we know. They haven’t accessed the training, the tools, the ideas and their environments aren’t (yet) conducive to growth. In the last few days I’ve had people reach out saying they can’t afford dinner, rent, gifts for Christmas, etc — and the kicker: most people who really need it aren’t reaching out at all. But I’m getting their Venmo from their friends who know they’re struggling and money is showing up. As a business owner - one of the BEST ways to break your ceiling is being generous. An EASY way to feel you deserve more is to GIVE more. It’s super counterintuitive but very effective. So… We are going to put a group together where people can post needs and entrepreneurs who have surplus can “claim” them. I will guarantee every need is met. But I want to share the growth and fulfillment that comes from being generous. A need will come in. A small board will “vet” and approve it to ensure it’s not bullshit. It will be posted & then whoever wants too claim it can send via Venmo or whatever. You get a write off. And person who receives it is surprised with gifts for holidays or food for their kids, or an extra month of rent. And our businesses grow leaps and bounds because we deserve it. The world of the generous gets larger and larger. If you want to be a part of this, comment and I’ll make sure you’re a founding member. This group / org will have no profit and no promotional elements. PS if you know people who need things — this is for them too. Being able to receive is a prerequisite to being able to give.

Doing business in the USA means you have one giant competitive advantage: Your currency. The USD is worth a lot more than most of the worlds currencies. We can hire folks in Colombia or the Philippines for $5 an hour and they live like kings.

@greggcarey @sweatystartup You can certainly get more over $5, but as someone who has a team of 15 in PH, $5 can get your great experience in many roles.

@sweatystartup $5/hr is still lower skill labor. If you want to build a seasoned team and introduce experienced competency to your team, you ain’t paying $5/hr.
