In these coming years, there will be many more layoffs, more desperation, more suffering around the world. Humanity is at an inflection point. This rapid transformation and chaotic thrashing between watching miracles and genocides on our phone is dizzying. You will have to learn a brand new way, a new tool, a new perspective, a new career every year (eventually every quarter), and potentially rethink everything you know about God and Humanity. That’s where we are heading. I know it’s scary hours, but what has helped me weather the insecurity of the modern era is my inner child. My inner child’s heart retains my empathy. My inner child’s mind retains the desire to be a porous sponge. We are born to learn. Lucky for us, the tools are here. The healthy rabbit holes are here if you find the signal through the noise. Skill as a barrier is evaporating before your eyes. Don’t be afraid to pick up a tool. Don’t be afraid to evolve.

Approaching life as a student has completely changed my life. 2023 was a rough one for me. 2024, counting the pebbles that were left over after going all-in on too many ventures, I remembered what it was like to be a student again. I started hooping again, playing video games, and writing scripts and short stories for no one in particular. As a student, I don’t suffer from imposter syndrome as much as I did, because it is already assumed that I am NOT in “full form”. As a student, doubt is natural and easily forgiven. We almost take for granted being forced to learn something new as a student. In 2025, I am watching my self pick up subjects at one of the fastest rates of my life, especially with the assistance of AI. I am driven by a youthful curiosity and utterly obsessed with inspiration.

Showed this to @georgetwopointoh and he affirmed the wild idea of muting the dialogue and exposing the actual screenplay. I think this is a fantastic use case of AI for screenwriters, directors, DPs, actors, and filmmakers at large. This is the new pre-viz that allows everyone to really see what the final product. As a director, you can feel the beats. As a writer, you can feel the pace. As a DP, you can see what shots are working. As an actor, you can run your lines already knowing where the camera and cuts are going to be.

I love the idea of a “silent film” where the only thing silent is the dialogue.

OGA CITY: I'm really excited about this one. I wrote, directed, and scored OGA CITY last week. Finally feel like I'm living in a genre that I've been studying for months. I used a variety of the common tools from #midjourney to #veo3 to #kling for animation. A combination of #runwaml #whisk and #midjourney for image generation. I spent most of the time in Resolve and Premier making this look cohesive because the initial generations were all over the place initially. I'm tempted to really turn this into a micro-drama.
