@stationmum101 Bloody Toggenburgs! They're meant to be well behaved goats. I guess it's all relative. 😂

My horse is agisting at a friend's place. I went to see her this morning and my friend's cows came up to say hello. Adorable.

And now we have (drum roll) farmhouse cheddar. My third attempt at making this and I must say, I'm rather pleased with it. Now it needs to dry at room temp for a few days before being waxed and aged. #goatcheese

Sourdough with feta and tomato. Sourdough with chevre and apricot jam. All grown / made by me (okay, so the apricots came from neighbour, and the milk from Sesame, but I made the jam and cheeses. And the bread). Tastes sensational. Smug factor very high! #lunch #goatcheese

@GemmaTognini @CaroDiRusso My daughter travelled around Europe for five weeks with just carry-on. In winter! I have the same bag she used and I can hardly manage a weekend away with it. 🙃

If the measure of a society’s intelligence is how they behave at the baggage claim, then Straya, we are screwed.

Took the goats for a short free range walk around the property. They were very well behaved, probably because they were a bit nervous so didn't want to leave me. I'm sure if I do it regularly they'll end up racing off to eat the garden.

@JillGWriter @ERN_Malleyscrub One time at a restaurant where the food was pricey but very good, and I was given a Lipton’s teabag!!!! I cherish my favourite cafes which offer fragrant leaf tea.

Our son, who lives in Brisbane, fully 10,000 miles out of earshot, has just sent our daughter, who lives under our roof, some bagpipes.

@stationmum101 It makes me more sad than angry. I often think agriculture is too successful for its own good. It makes it look easy to produce food, which is one of the reasons why I think everyone should try to grow at least a little bit of their own food.

@ReviewsPossum No, that's accurate. Humans have been farming for thousands of years. It used to be the most common occupation by far. It's not rocket science.

I’ve been up since 6. Just waiting to go to the house of horrors and meet the carpet cleaner to see if he can work some miracle and remove the stink and all the dog shit and maybe save the carpets. I just hope I don’t revisit my breakfast I did pre warn him. 🤢🤢

@SandyHorne61 I saw the aurora on 11 May too. Just south of Margaret River, WA. A first for me. Nice to be reminded of it. We were at a family reunion on what was my grandparents' farm.

Best of 2024: I missed the very recent aurora action but I had a couple of other good experiences through 2024 - such as this one. May 11 was an exceptional evening. I took this near Eudunda in South Australia which is a great dark sky area.
