People that haven't known me long are obviously unaware that I've spent YEARS absolutely roasting my own protestant compatriots for their naivete and submission to evil regarding politics. I grew up sola scriptura in the Church of Christ. I'm now Catholic curious. My response to just read your Bible is which church canonized the Bible? All roads seem to lead to Rome if you study history. So maybe the Catholic Church is the real church. I'm not 💯 but it makes most sense just on paper. I haven't set foot in a Catholic church yet so huge grain of salt territory for my apologia for them.

I've thought about becoming a Roman Catholic for about a year or so now. Some have suggested Anglican as I'm still opposed to the papacy and the necessity to pray through saints. I also don't buy that you have to be Catholic or Orthodox, specifically, in order to be saved. I think the core elements of Christianity are extremely simple. Not easy, but simple. I've been a Christian virtually all my life, but as I've aged, I've learned that most people add extra baggage onto their faith in order to seemingly keep themselves busy.
