He could, but Fauci had that opportunity also in Congress to tell his side of the story. Fauci easily could have come to Congress and repeated exactly what he said under oath in 2021 and 2022, but if he did he could be guilty of lying to Congress which carries a sentence of 5 years in Federal prison for each offense. The emails, his diary, other info have only been subpoenaed and released after Trump was re-elected. This is why on Biden’s last day Fauci was furiously calling the WH to get a 10 year blanket pardon with the autopen. If not, Fauci would already be in jail for lying to Congress.
