Caddie Austin Gaugert took responsibility for Garrick Higgo being late for his tee time last Thursday at the 108th PGA Championship. golfweek.usatoday.com/story/sports/g…

@Espngreeny Life long 76er fan. Thrilled by comeback. Schadenfreude for Harden feels great. He can score but he’s a mutt. Ugly beard & terrible fashion sense complete the package
English

@Espngreeny I heard Wilbon mention you being young. Out of Curiosity I checked. Surprised Greeny is 58. Looks good. ESPN makeup must be great ! 😆
English

@JeffRudeGolf @LIVTracking You don’t see that the players on the PGA are very competitive? Schefflers win percentage is 10% this year, meaning someone else wins the other 90%. The margin of scoring difference is minor. Being #1 is meaningless. It’s the the qualifying ranking that counts
English

@JimConway56 @LIVTracking Scheffler has had the number 1 ranking for a total of 186 weeks. He first got to number 1 on March 28, 2022. He has been the top ranked player 152 consecutive weeks between May 22, 2023 and now. So I’m not seeing razor thin.

Jon Rahm is the best golfer in the world.
Absolutely nobody can deny that.

@GBeardsley @danprimack I had to look it up and it’s pretty funny. The Arabs paid Na, a mediocre player, $25 M to join and then cut him ! Another example this was never a serious business
English

@JimConway56 @danprimack You must be a robot because Na is not on LIV anymore...

English

@GBeardsley @danprimack No George it shows how irrelevant he and most other LIV players are
English

@JoelMBeall Axios is now stealing material from Babylon Bee ! Hilarious
English

According to Axios, LIV Golf is seeking an additional $250 million from investors, with hopes of being profitable in 20 months

English

@JoelMBeall 5 billion was almost enough to get them where they need to be to make a profit. Just need that extra 250mm to get them over the line. Almost there.
English

@GBeardsley @danprimack The profit comes from TV. No ratings = no money. No cares about players like Na, Gooch or Westwood. LIV was created by people with personal agendas that were not about making golf better
English

Could work as long as the league can be repriced at a reasonable valuation... PIF did all the heavy lifting and overspending... not worth $10B, but if a group comes in for $250M and can own 25%, could work... league still needs stars to say, get more OWGR and keep progressing... the tough part is each event costs $50M -- so unless half the events can be profitable and the others, not big losers... they will be out of runway quickly....
English

@danprimack The Arabs burned $1B+ per year. Got 1/10 PGA TV ratings & sparse attendance. Explain how $250M leads to profit ?? Mostly mediocre players & bad product is why it failed. The Saudis were not seeking profit but image. Any new investors would be crazy

@Espngreeny FOR GOD’s SAKE STOP TALKING ABOUT ROGERS. NO ONE CARES. HE & THE STEELERS STINK
English

@LarryRother5 @GetUpESPN @Espngreeny @DanGrazianoESPN Finally! Someone else has my exact thought. No one cares ! He’s a dick and Steelers are stupid. Talking about a team that is projected at 8 wins in the 65th market. WHY ??
English

@GetUpESPN @Espngreeny @DanGrazianoESPN I’ll never understand why this show, which I generally like, wastes multiple segments weekly on a washed up QB on a declining team. All of my Steeler friends aren’t exited about Rodgers/McCarthy so this can’t be about ratings
English

"There's been a bit of a softening in a relationship that was absolutely frayed, if not broken."
@DanGrazianoESPN details Aaron Rodgers' relationship with Steelers' head coach Mike McCarthy 👀
English

@Espngreeny The story for Rory was that he was wrong on 2 counts. 1) Saying the course was just bombs away with no strategy proved disastrous 2) That no one could separate themselves from the field. Rai negated both statements
English

@yellowdart2448 @Espngreeny Btw the previous 5 winners : Scheffler, Schauffle, Keopka, Thomas & Phil. No names ?
English

@yellowdart2448 @Espngreeny If you followed golf, Aaron Rai is well known. Shows how close the talent is on the Tour.
English

@Tuna_StrokerAce @Espngreeny Calm down. We all know the story. Among tour players it is considered “different”. “Quirky” is just another adjective
English

@Espngreeny “Quirky”?? Do you even know why he does that you entitled twerp?? Few do tone-deaf like “Greeny”. Tell us you’re a silver spoon kid without popping your collar.
English

@MikeFie68686779 @Espngreeny Wrong. Rai has been a DP member since 2018 and PGA member since 2022. 2 wins + PGA & over $16M in earnings. Very steady player. Not flashy but makes cuts.
English

@Espngreeny Modern day shaun micheel. Will never be heard from again
English

@Espngreeny Something many people don’t understand is the difficulty winning a PGA tournament. Of all the thousands of players to earn a card only 10% ever win a single tournament. That Rai has won twice and now adds a major puts him in rare company
