You know that Hall of Famer you like? At his best, he probably was not as good as Jim Edmonds at his best.

@Hunzingerc92 I thought around 20% would have been enough to start some momentum like Raines, Rice, and Dawson have done.

@Hunzingerc92 citing it as a reason for excluding him from HOF is just as arbitrary, perhaps more so, than including playoff numbers.

Edmonds only got 11 votes, 2.5%. Not enough to stay on the ballot. Sorry, @JimEdmonds We tried, but you got robbed.

Before this year, only 5 players with 8+ gold gloves and 393+ HR (Edmonds' numbers) have gone thru HOF voting...4 are in, Bonds is the other

Despite the early returns, it is too early to give up on Jim Edmonds. Last year Nomar was only on 2.4% of public ballots, and ended at 5.5%.
