Very pleased to say that I passed my PhD viva today (with minor corrections). Whilst I have really loved doing a PhD, I am also very relieved that it is now (almost) over.

@Sciprios You are absolutely right - it's a difficult one, The history of protest would indicate that (sometimes) this type of action eventually changes public perception. However, with opinions more and more polarised I am unsure it is going to work. But what alternative is there ?

@Sciprios Well, it has gotten you talking about the issue which is part of the aim We are going to smash the 1.5 deg C warming target and government's are taking little action. Conventional protest hasn't worked - what should be done to raise awareness and force government action ?

@MrCladding @premnsikka You act surprised, yet for the last few years climate activists are forbidden by judges to use climate change as a defence in courts !! The system is deffo rigged.

@premnsikka This is concerning, as it now puts into question the legal system. Who is this judge and is he or she still sitting? If so, they should be removed immediately and their past cases should be investigated.

@sascampaigns And take note that at this time of year in many locations, the EA do not report overflow discharges because it is "out of season" and nobody will be affected by sewage in the waters !!!
