According to former foundation employees, nope! The latest transparency reports removed the “staff costs” line item, making employee compensation more nebulous. From past transparency reports, the average annual spending seems to be about $40M in staffing costs for about 60 employees, amounting to roughly $600k/ person. This is not counting board compensation. This number may change due to recent layoffs, but I haven’t heard anything about salary cuts. Really we don’t hear much at all 😛


MORE: Fidelity, WisdomTree, VanEck and Invesco/Galaxy have all re-filed their spot bitcoin ETF applications, naming Coinbase as the exchange. Nothing from BlackRock or ARK yet.

You have to wonder if the SEC thought all crypto exchanges were not of sufficient size or too shady it could have just told them to all go f off, either now or when decision due? But instead it is asking them to name the exchange and provide details of these SSAs.
