@MJMcKean @RichardERoeper I wonder if that conversation was recorded in Dubly.

@RichardERoeper Admit it, Roeper. I’m aging beautifully.

@SRuhle @MSNOWNews Any discussion of the price gouging at gas stations in regard to the oil and the refinery process bought and paid for before the war started? I don't think Star Trek technology has been invented yet to transport and replace existing oil/gas here in the USA.

@elbuckner Also I would have been INSIDE the stadium that day/night. I elected to attend my first tailgate on the Quad instead.
I've never seen Bama lose a home game in person.
I accept the blame.

2019 LSU. Lost by 5 with a crippled QB. You know the tigahs had their asses clenched that whole game too.

@MSNOWNews @AliVelshi @SRuhle @itsdeaann This was the cost of gas at the pump today. Funny how the gas has been in the tanks for some time now, previously bought at pre-war prices.

@SRuhle @JavierBlas Funny how no one is talking about costs went up at the pumps the day after the war started. Yet all of that gas was already bought and paid for by US stations. Do they have Star Trek technology to transport and refine the oil overnight, while at the same time dump all current gas

VIDEO EXPLAINER: The most important map of the Third Gulf War — the oilfields, the Strait of Hormuz, and the bypass pipelines. Plus a look at how, two weeks into the war, Iran is still exporting lots of its oil, and most of it, via the strait. @opinion

Why you shouldn’t be chasing six-pack abs as a woman
A thread 🧵 1/2
Chasing visible six-pack abs is generally unhealthy for most women because it requires dropping body fat to levels that disrupt essential hormonal, reproductive, skeletal, and immune functions.** This isn't about aesthetics being "bad"—it's about the physiology of female bodies, which evolved to maintain higher essential fat stores than men's for reproduction, hormone regulation, and long-term health. Below is a detailed, evidence-based breakdown.
1. Body Fat Requirements: Why Women Are Different from Men
Women have a higher essential body fat percentage (the minimum needed for basic physiological functions like organ protection, hormone production, vitamin storage, and reproduction). According to the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and multiple body composition studies:
- Essential fat for women: 10–13%.
- Essential fat for men: 2–5%.
Healthy ranges for women (non-athletes or general fitness):
- Athletes: 14–20%.
- Fitness level: 21–24%.
- Average/healthy: 25–31%.
For men, visible abs are achievable in the 6–13% "athlete" range without major issues. For women, visible abdominal definition typically starts around **16–18% body fat (faint outline at 19–21%, sharp "six-pack" often below 16%, and extreme definition under 14%). Many sources note that true washboard abs in women often push into or below the 14–15% range—right at or under essential fat thresholds for most.
This difference exists because women store more subcutaneous fat (especially in hips/thighs) for pregnancy, breastfeeding, and estrogen production. Dropping too low triggers the body to prioritize survival over "looking shredded."
2. The Core Mechanism: Low Energy Availability → Hypothalamic Shutdown
To reach and maintain sub-16% body fat, most women must create a chronic calorie deficit (often via extreme dieting + overtraining). This leads to low energy availability (LEA)—not enough calories to support basic bodily functions after accounting for exercise.
LEA suppresses the hypothalamus (the brain's "control center"):
- Reduces gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH).
- Lowers luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
- Crashes estrogen and progesterone levels.
This is called Functional Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (FHA)—the body essentially says, "I don't have enough resources for reproduction right now." It's reversible but damaging if prolonged.
Max💯@Maxis_arena
If you’re a woman, you should stop chasing six-pack abs. It’s not important for you.

@Thora_Strong1 Agreed.
Standing next to someone at the gym, grocery store, a concert, etc. odds are the body types are not at all similar.
Which begs the question: do you like to workout on an empty stomach or a meal(carefully prepared) beforehand?
The word consistency seems key here.
