For anyone keeping up with the numbers: it started tracking at $80M, then went to $70M, then to $60M. Now, a week before release, it's at $50M. If the trend continues we're looking at a $40M opening weekend in the US, which,in this stacked summer,would spell out DOOM for the DCU

Look Raph, I don’t know how Supergirl is going to perform at the box office —and neither do you. But I’d be willing to bet the average moviegoer has no idea who Zack Snyder or James Gunn even are.

Is it crazy to say the DCU doesn’t really have an audience outside DC influencers and Snyder haters? Like that’s who they are making it for ultimately, and that’s why all they care about is if the RT score is good or not. Not that it’s a good or bad representation of the comics because these things aren’t mutually exclusive.
