Didn't love their game but can still confidently say they deserved to win. Controlled the pace for 55 minutes. Bad 5 minutes at the end of the second. Finishing cost them. Had zero presence around Thompson. Need to get a little more gritty. Weird one. Got away from their game a little bit. Huge two points against NYI tomorrow.

Still within reach of the playoffs. Detroit is in Tampa/Dallas while Ottawa has Anaheim/San Jose this weekend. Win that back-to-back and they'll be knocking on the door. But the runway is shrinking. Can only afford a few more losses.

@JimmyStuu yes he was bad, i just like to try to stay somewhat positive. he made some good stops between letting in the first shot of the game and the two softies he allowed.

Ullmark played ok, but that rebound on the 3rd goal was egregious: At the end of the day our Vezina winning veteran goalie got outplayed by a 21 year old kid. Fuckin hell. Great push at the end there though.
