I do know about laws and healthcare and the fact is you can have the majority of tests done at an independent lab. You can take the completed test to a Dr. or use the info for yourself.

You cannot just walk in and say “I want an MRI”. Just admit you don’t know how insurance and medical billing works and save yourself future embarrassment.

From there they may go to a hospital. I know this because I didn't have my surgery "planned" in an Emergency Room.
