📌 Tourism Development Program success We are honored to have been recognized among the top three best performing entities at the National Performance Review Conference on Uganda’s Development Agenda held at Speke Resort Munyonyo from April 15th to 17th organized by the @OPMUganda. As part of the #ATMS (Agro-Industrialisation, Tourism, Mineral-based development and Science, Technology and Innovation) - the anchor for Uganda’s #TenfoldGrowthStrategy which aims to expand the economy to $500 billion within the next 15 years, the tourism industry continues to register growth by the year. In 2025, Tourism revenues increased from $1.28 billion in 2024 to $1.7 billion in 2025, and international arrivals increased from 1.3 million to 1.65 million. Domestic tourism also continues to grow with approximately 3.27 million Ugandans travelling within the country in 2025. This growth is driven by among others; tourism product development and diversification that @MTWAUganda together with her sister agencies and departments is focusing on, investment in foreign missions marketing drives, domestic tourism awareness campaigns, partnerships with private sector and infrastructure development that the @GovUganda has been keen on. The tourism sector aims to generate $50 billion in revenue by 2040 as per the national development strategy targets. #PerformanceUg2026

Community Experience: The Egyptian delegation was taken through nature walk in the swamps in Bigodi, Kibale and also had an experience with the Community as a way to enjoying the cultural diversity and to support Community activities #ExploreUganda #VisitUganda #EgyptToUganda

Yesterday, our Quality Assurance team conducted a training session for Kampala hoteliers, bringing together hotel directors, managers, and operational staff. Key industry associations and agencies were also represented, including the Hotel General Managers Association of Uganda (HOGMAU), the @Ugandahotel and the Uganda Professional Chefs Union, health inspectors from @KCCAUG and tourism officers.
