If it’s piety signaling to say we should not be encouraging and promoting meat eating on Fridays as Catholics then I’m guilty. Yet, I’m pretty sure you actually agree with me. I didn’t say anyone was sinning. And I definitely didn’t brag about anything.
I said WE (Catholics) are soft and weak because we are. I said it sucks seeing Catholics all posting their meat dishes on a Friday and celebrating it because it does suck. It’s not something we should do in my view. That doesn’t make me an attention whore.

According to Stephen, (1) the “Conciliar/Synodal Church” is not the Catholic Church, (2) Leo is not the Pope (a necessary consequence of #1), and (3) the Vatican is occupied by “squatters” (his word).
Thus, according to Stephen’s logic, “Leo and the Vatican” preside over a false church. How, then, can they simultaneously be responsible for perpetuating a crisis in the true Church?
Really, according to his logic, there isn’t a crisis in the true Church at all — only in a false church that 99.99% of the global population mistakenly believes is the Catholic Church.

🍿 This is sure to cause a massive reaction.
On the one hand, some will note that this is a different response to '88 and will ask: 'why is the SSPX having recourse to the conciliar authorities?'
Others will say 'this shows the Society isn't outside the Church or schismatic, especially if Rome agrees to hear the case.'
I'm interested in the strategic aspect.
I don't think the Society would have done this if they didn't think they had a very high chance of victory.
In other words, they seem to think they can expose Fernandez for not having not done this correctly (potentially leading to his firing and them being allowed to say they are 'in the Church') and to press him and/or Leo on further doctrinal questions.
Will be interesting to watch this unfold.

God gives us all the graces—but we have to cooperate with Him and utilize our free will. If that means rolling around in thorns or wearing hair shirts, then so be it.
