I finally understand what Machiavelli meant when he said, “Never play fair in a game where others cheat.” It doesn’t mean become evil. It means stop being naive. Stop bringing honesty to people who study manipulation, stop giving access to people who weaponize closeness, and stop expecting clean hands from people who already showed you they’ll throw dirt. Sometimes wisdom is not revenge. Sometimes wisdom is learning the rules of the room before the room uses your goodness against you.

Alleged N2b Nigeria Air Fraud:   How Sirika Allegedly Used Ethiopian Airlines as Fake Nigeria Air-Witness   The 12th Prosecution Witness, PW12, Christopher Odofin,   in the trial of the former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Abubakar Sirika, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, told Justice S.C. Oriji of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT,  High Court Abuja, how Sirika allegedly passed off an aircraft belonging to Ethiopian Airline as that of the promised Nigeria Air by the government of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.   The decoy aircraft, adorned with the livery of the promised Nigeria Air, found its way on the tarmac of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on May 27, 2023, being three days to the expiration of the tenure of the Buhari government and was flown back to Addis Ababa in the morning of May 29, 2023, being the handover date to the successor government.   Hadi Sirika is facing prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on amended six-count, bordering on alleged abuse of office and misappropriation of public funds to the tune of over N2 billion, alongside his daughter, Fatima Hadi Sirika, son-in-law, Hamma Jalal Sule, and Al Buraq Global Investment Limited.   The contract for the setting up of Nigeria Air was awarded to Tianaero Nigeria Limited, belonging to Gabriel Tilmann, a close associate and friend of the former minister.   Reading from a portion of contract agreement with Ethiopian Airline, the witness, an investigator with Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC said “The aircraft will depart from Addis Ababa (ADD) late evening of May 26, 2023 for it to be positioned early morning of May 27, 2023 at the Abuja (ABV) airport. The aircraft will stay in ABV airport for static display of Nigeria Air livery until May 28, 2023. The aircraft will leave ABV airport early morning on May, 29, 2023. The chartered flight will be operated by the Ethiopian Airline crew in Ethiopian Airline uniform. The Federal Government of Nigeria and Nigeria Air may put together local models who will be in Nigeria Air uniforms to pose for ceremonial pictures. The models may come to Addis Ababa so they may fly with the chartered flight to ABV.”   The witness told the court that the display of the aircraft in Abuja International Airport was deliberately planned to coincide with the end of the first defendant’s tenure as Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development on May 29, 2023 and to pass the aircraft off as the actualization of his promise of the return of Nigeria Air. After the less than 72 hours display of the aircraft, he stated that the Nigeria Air logo was removed from the aircraft and flown back to Ethiopian Airlines in Addis Ababa.   The witness further disclosed that the investigating team was also able to ascertain that Ethiopian Airlines entered into a charter arrangement for the static display of the Nigeria Air livery for a duration of just three days, beginning from May 27 to May 29, 2023 based on information and documents received from the airline following a letter from it, dated June 12, 2023, in response to the EFCC’s request for information regarding Nigeria Air. And that though the purpose of the contract was for the establishment of Nigeria Air, the charter agreement with Ethiopian Airlines was entered on May 24, 2023, five days to the expiration of the defendant’s tenure for just a static display of the Nigeria Air logo on an aircraft.   All the documents tendered in evidence by the prosecution were shown to have been duly signed, authorized, and accompanied by certificates of identification and were not objected to by any of the counsels to the four defendants. Among the exhibits is a compact disk containing a voice note from the first defendant, Hadi Sirika, marked Exhibit 37, which the prosecution counsel applied to be played in the court at the next adjourned date.

Dear Nigerian Christians and religious folks. A Pastor can be wrong on political and social issues. When they give false/wrong opinions on politics and social issues, righteousness demands that you refute them vehemently without any iota of fear or undue respect! Again, this culture of high-handedness has ruined Nigeria. No one who is aware of what is going on in Nigeria can in good conscience say Tinubu is doing well. It is a lie! NEVER ever regard the clergy more than truth or good conscience. Your silence, while it may seem pious, is also why these unwise and wrong claims made by pastors are emboldened.

The IMF has warned Nigeria to be careful about its plan to borrow $5 billion from First Abu Dhabi Bank in the UAE. The money is not a normal loan. It is coming through a more complicated financial arrangement, and the IMF says deals like this can sometimes have hidden risks because they are not always easy for people to understand. Nigeria says the money will help pay for government needs, support projects, and manage existing debts. But the IMF is warning that Nigeria should be careful because: * the agreement is complicated, * the full risks may not be obvious, * it could create problems in the future if not properly managed. CONCLUSION: Nigeria wants to borrow $5 billion to support the economy, but the IMF is saying, “Be very careful and make sure you fully understand the risks before entering this kind of deal.” 📺: @Reuters

Japanese scientists have successfully removed the extra chromosome associated with Down syndrome from human cells in a laboratory setting using CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing technology. In this early-stage research, led by a team working in Japan including Dr. Ryotaro Hashizume, scientists targeted cells carrying trisomy 21, the condition where an individual has three copies of chromosome 21 instead of the usual two. Using CRISPR-based methods, they were able in some cases to eliminate the extra chromosome from affected cells grown in the lab. Following this genetic correction, more than 30% of treated cells showed signs of restored or improved normal cellular function, suggesting that removing the additional chromosome could potentially reverse some of the biological disruptions linked to the condition at a cellular level. However, this work is still strictly experimental and has only been carried out in isolated cells under laboratory conditions. It has not been tested in animals or humans, and there are significant challenges ahead, including how to safely target only the extra chromosome without affecting normal genetic material, and how to deliver such a treatment to the correct cells in the body. Scientists emphasise that while this represents an important proof of concept for chromosome-level gene editing, any real-world therapeutic application for Down syndrome would require many more years of research, along with careful ethical review and safety testing.

The Nigerian military is taking credit for “rescuing” some 400 hostages released by Boko Haram in Ngoshe. That is a lie, of course. Here is the word from eyewitnesses on the ground. Soldiers delivered ransom to Boko Haram, said to be somewhere between 3 and 5 billion naira. Only Muslim hostages were released. The Christian women and children remain in captivity. They were being held in a village named Gavva at the shadow of Mandara Mountain, three kilometers away from the military base in Ngoshe. That is not a rescue. That is complicity, and a wealth transfer to their terrorist comrades. It is also proof and a continuation of the ongoing Christian genocide. This is video of the Muslim women and children being returned. #EarthShaker

Dear Obidients, you guys did not create NDC, so please, let it go into your head that politics is not social media. The false sense of privilege some of you exhibit is nauseating. Many of you did not register with NDC, you didn't participate at the primaries and you didn't even vote. You went around your business while other people did and then you come online and say you reject candidates. That's not politics, that's stupidity. Politics is all about actions and your inactions and false sense of privilege might hurt @PeterObi more than you think. Party politics is not chochocho on social media. You mess with people, it has real life consequences, so please stop all these false sense of privilege, if you didn't vote and participated at the primaries kindly shut and accept whatever you see because you failed to carry out your civic duty. It's like not voting in elections and then start to complain.

x.com/Somtolism7/sta… The cry of an innocent child after Fulani terrorists attacked and wiped out an entire village is heartbreaking. Behind every attack are families torn apart, lives cut short, and communities left in fear and mourning. Sadly, this insecurity has not stopped. Villages continue to come under attack, innocent people are displaced from their homes, and many Nigerians go to bed each night uncertain of what tomorrow may bring. The continued loss of lives and destruction of communities should concern every citizen, regardless of tribe, religion, or political affiliation. What is even more troubling is the growing perception that these bandits and terrorists are facing little resistance or consequence for their actions. When criminals repeatedly carry out attacks and escape justice, they become emboldened. They begin to believe that nothing will happen to them, and that belief only fuels further violence. The primary responsibility of any government is the protection of lives and property. Nigerians deserve to feel safe in their homes, on their farms, on the roads, and in their communities. The tears of innocent children, the grief of widows, and the pain of families who have lost loved ones should be enough to compel urgent and decisive action. The victims are not statistics. They are human beings with dreams, families, and futures. Their cries must not be ignored, and their suffering must not be forgotten.
