@HarbottleJ @RHolmes70 Agree with this. The long injury he had has jut left him off the pace but he was an important player during the staying up days. Everton fans are just absolutely all or nothing in their assessment of players

@RHolmes70 @Jleedowd I think Everton fans have been a bit harsh on him. He's had his moments here and has a few strengths, but he lacks pace and has not looked well of late.

Whatever you say, if you say it with such belief and firmness - it’s probably sensible to stick by it. If you’ve changed your mind, say that. It’s okay!

Konstantin Kisin straight up lying on #bbcqt Douglas Alexander: “When Fraser Nelson put it to you that Rishi Sunak is absolutely english… you said “he’s a brown Hindu, how is he english?” Kisin: “No that’s not what I said...”

@EvertonPhotos @nocontextEFC Actually think it’s credit to our players that they deal with being booed on such a regular basis. Stop fucking booing them, we’re 10th.

@Hanstours @grandoldteam @mintisculture Club must know that fixture pile up like this will happen and we can’t all make every game financially. Why do they not want the seats full? Got heaps of family and mates who could take mine tomorrow - but ofc they’ve got to pay the club for “memberhsip” to take one ticket

It’s no surprise that fans feel increasingly disconnected from the beautiful game and from their club. The same seems echoed for many fans across the top flight. Has commercial excess finally stripped football of what many of us fell in love with? When did the game peak, and can we reverse the trend if we wanted to? Is it concerning Evertonians are growing detached, and so soon after the stadium move?

Was it just me or does Grealish play like someone who is just coolly kicking the ball around on a Saturday? 😎. What a great spark he brings to the club! And Pickford with that save! What a day!

@AvantiWestCoast sorry to be a broken record, but the 12.25 to Liverpool is, yet again, completely oversold. It’s unacceptable to have dozens of people standing up for nearly 3 hours - and paying £90 for the privilege!

The welfare bill has passed but it’s barely the same bill. It’s government by cut and paste and with such chaotic speed, many ministers will barely know what’s in it. An utter shambles - and horrific unnecessary stress and suffering for disabled and sick people watching on.

Good to have the opportunity today to raise concerns with @CommonsWorkPen about the impact of cuts & changes to benefits for ill & disabled people Chasing short-term savings will not lead to sustainable reductions in needs or costs, or positive outcomes for this group
NEF@NEF

"There's a real risk of looking at it in isolation and thinking we can crack down on costs here and make savings." @PollardTom speaking to @CommonsWorkPen today about why making benefit cuts to meet specific government savings targets just won't work

Behold the "normalisation" of poverty. Apparently kids in London are really lucky if they grow up poor in London. It must be wonderful for them to look at all that opportunity whilst their mother skips meals, they wear hand-me-down clothing and live in a mould-infested flat.

Mental health hospitals should be places of recovery. But they’ve become places of pain and fear. Places that are ‘re-traumatising’ patients. We know this already, but a report released by the Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB) today shows how bad things are. 🧵
