A wider view shows how central German and Israeli airstrips have been in the last few days, with the UK playing a much smaller role.

Flight tracking data suggests that US aircraft are accumulating on the island, mainly from Osan Air Base in South Korea. Aircraft are also accumulating in Kuwait, Jordan and southern Israel, while America's German bases are emptying out. The UK is serving as a transit hub.

Satellite image over Diego Garcia shows numerous US aircraft in place on Sunday morning, including a C-5M Super Galaxy and six F-16 fighter jets.

The DFLP's armed wing recently released sixty-seven names of its deceased militants. Through open sources, I confirmed five of them were not killed in Gaza, but in Israel on 7 October. Four of these five appear on the Ministry of Health's fatalities list (pic related) This raises the possibility whether the MoH is systematically including combatants killed in Israel on 7 Oct in its data. To be clear, we don't know this yet. It's possible that the DFLP figures - insofar as most of their 7 Oct deaths are included - are a fluke and not representative of the whole. And yet, wouldn't it be remarkable if the fatalities demographics of Gaza - already the most woman-and-child heavy of any major conflict since the Rwandan Genocide - become even more woman-and-child heavy, through the removal of combatants killed on 7 Oct? (These should not be included in the Gaza data, as they have no bearing on how the IDF conducted itself in Gaza; rather, they bear on the IDF's actions inside Israel on 7 Oct.)
