In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the Toad NPCs have originally been envisioned to be highly nonstandard with odd cap shapes and unique colors. In each successive iteration of the game, their designs have been made to look more "normal" until the logical conclusion.

New bug discovered: The options menu can display the wrong text if the user can click through a selection at a speed of 14 clicks per second. Might ignore that one...

An idea I had early in EBF5's development was the option to "sidegrade" equipment by changing one main aspect of it - like elemental properties. I dropped it because it would likely need a lot of extra graphics, but I'm playing around with the idea now.
