@JamieHeth42 Many neonatal TPN bags are made bespoke by the pharmacy team. Outer bag will not be tamper proof. The video is an adult TPN bag. The additive port may or may not have a cap on it.

@GlendajSharsted @BBCPolitics Meanwhile in the NHS you have to declare a few sandwiches for staff while they listen in their lunch breaks to some promotional stuff about a medicine.

@BBCPolitics Why should he receive an award from a ‘overseas’ billionaire for his Brexit campaign??
Is Harborne throwing money to influence the governing of the UK?
That excuse stinks.

@DrSdeG @DrSteveTaylor @wesstreeting @doctor_katie @VictoriaTzB @DrSelvarajah @DavidGWrigley @rcgp @DAUK_GP @NickFerrariLBC I am a patient , I have RA , and an ex pharmacist, personally I really value being able to see my results and a narrative of all my GP appointments. Previously they were supposed to be written in my methotrexate booklet but it just never happened.
English

I have been told that to object to this or even be concerned about it, is to infantalise patients. Which I have reflected upon a lot. And as so often, I think it comes down to all people wanting news in different ways but often those who have fast access to treatment by paying, making the rules
English

The NHS App ‘Doctor in your pocket’
Lacks empathy, nuance and understanding
Results visible before speaking to a Dr or health professional is a problem
@wesstreeting didn’t listen & this is his problem
Doesn’t listen to people who know the issues better

@Medway_Pharmacy I agree pharmacy is a great career but that’s a terrible picture. Firstly the blurred bottles are not from a UK pharmacy. Secondly you have someone with gloves on who has his hands on his hip and hence contaminated them or himself depending on what they were for.

@Azeem_Majeed @pash22 Which is why the test history in the NHS app is a joy! You know what is normal for you and can correct your HCP when they say ‘it’s normal’ .

@GlendajSharsted @docrussjackson The huge problem for us all is that they haven’t a bloody clue how to actually run anything. They are disrupters not actual doers.

At 10p.m. on Wednesday May 6, I asked 3 AIs for their local council predictions.
1. Grok
Conservatives:
Net loss of ~560 seats (range across models: -550 to -1,010).
Heavy losses, primarily to Reform in rural/eastern areas and Lib Dems/Greens elsewhere.
Greens:
Net gain of ~425 seats (range: +425 to +555). Strong gains, especially from Labour in urban and inner-London seats, with very few of their own seats at risk.
Labour:
Net loss of ~1,170 seats (range: -1,168 to -1,900+). Very heavy losses as they defend seats won in a much stronger period (2022). Biggest hits from Reform in northern metros and Greens in urban/London seats.
Liberal Democrats:
Net gain of ~115 seats (range: +114 to +393). Modest but solid gains in southern/suburban battlegrounds, offsetting some losses of defended seats.
Reform UK:
Net gain of ~1,435 seats (range: +1,350 to +2,260). The standout winner — massive gains from a very low base, particularly in eastern counties and northern areas from both main parties.
2. Chat GPT
Labour:
≈ –1,500 to –2,000 seats
Widely expected to suffer catastrophic losses, potentially among the worst ever for a governing party mid-cycle.
Model-based estimate: about –1,900.
Central estimate: ~ –1,800
Conservatives:
≈ –600 to –1,100 seats
Also expected to lose heavily, though less dramatically than Labour in most scenarios.
Model-based estimate: about –1,010.
Central estimate: ~ –900
Liberal Democrats:
≈ +200 to +500 seats
Strong gains expected, especially in southern “blue wall” areas.
Model-based estimate: about +200 (more conservative).
Central estimate: ~ +300
Green Party
≈ +400 to +700 seats
Significant surge, especially in urban areas and London.
Model-based estimate: about +450.
Central estimate: ~ +500
Reform UK
≈ +1,500 to +2,200 seats
Expected to be the biggest winner by far, pulling support from both Labour and Conservatives.
Model-based estimate: about +2,260.
Central estimate: ~ +2,000
Labour: ~ –1,800
Conservatives: ~ –900
Lib Dems: ~ +300
Greens: ~ +500
Reform UK: ~ +2,000
3. Gemini
Reform UK is the projected winner of the night. Starting from nearly zero seats, they are expected to gain between 1,000 and 1,500 councillors. Analysts suggest they could take outright control of county councils like Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk, marking a historic breakthrough in rural and Leave-voting areas.
The Labour Party faces a difficult night with predicted losses ranging from 800 to 1,500 seats. Defending seats won during high-water marks in 2022, the party is struggling in northern metropolitan boroughs and London, where their vote share has dropped significantly.
The Conservative Party is expected to lose between 400 and 850 seats. Squeezed by Reform UK in the north and the Liberal Democrats in the south, they risk losing control of long-held councils like Bexley and Bromley.
The Green Party is forecast for a strong performance with gains of 200 to 450 seats. They are polling at historic highs and are expected to challenge for control in urban centers like Norwich and Sheffield, while making significant gains across inner London.
The Liberal Democrats are likely to remain relatively stable, with results ranging from 50 losses to 100 gains. While they remain competitive in the "Blue Wall," the rise of multi-party competition from the Greens and Reform UK has limited their potential for a massive seat sweep.
Major Narrative Shifts
The central story of the 2026 locals is the "nationalization" of municipal politics. Voters appear to be moving away from the Labour-Conservative binary, with Reform UK and the Greens combined now rivaling the two main parties in national polling.
This fragmentation means a record number of councils are expected to move to No Overall Control (NOC) as the era of single-party dominance in local town halls faces a major challenge.

@AliJaneMoore Significance needs removing. My mildly raised cholesterol is noted as moderate when my actual risk of CVS is low . Yet my methotrexate monitoring blood tests which are obligatory in all guidelines are noted as minor. Significant for whom?

The NHS app is savage 🥺 Significance: Minor. Okay then…

@DrHelenFry My mother and her future sister in law, they saw action when airfields were bombed etc. And my father who joined up voluntarily and rose to the rank of squadron leader in the accountancy branch and never saw action despite being in North Africa and Italy.

English

@rheumipainmask Yep I used to order in the app and put in the message the date of my last blood test and no then they stopped allowing it.
English

@Jo_Ringer Yeah MTX is a difficult one as requires strict monitoring
Tho we used to put it on repeats with a message to check if bloods were okay before prescribing. Also had an admin staff keep an eye on it & msg patients when blood tests were due.
English

@JuliePMartin I really have no idea what a lot of that means but it is I guess another step on your journey and as I ever I wish you all success.
