@nickimoraa Families / couples / friends who want to sit together should pay and select their seats together, not guilt trip others into forfeiting their paid for upgrades.

Flight attendant comes up to me before takeoff, very gentle voice: “Hi, would you be willing to switch seats to help a family sit together?”
I already know. I just know.
Me: “What seat is it?”
Her: “It’s a middle seat toward the back.”
I said, “I’m happy to help if it’s the same type of seat or better.”
She smiles that tight customer-service smile and goes, “It would really mean a lot to them.”
I said, “It already means a lot to me. That’s why I paid for it.”
She just nodded and walked away. Respectfully, too. Because what argument is left?

19 of 20 NHL players studied after death have had CTE. I doubt a single player on the ice knows that, so they choose to give each other brain injuries "as part of the game". When they meet again in a dementia clinic in a few decades, I suspect they'll regret playing this way

B.C. gangster Jamie Bacon released, now living in Edmonton under strict conditions
One of B.C.’s most well-known gang figures, Jamie Bacon, has been released after completing his sentence tied to the Surrey Six murders.
Bacon was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and served an 18-year sentence, with credit for time already spent in custody. The 2007 killings at Balmoral Towers left six people dead, including two bystanders.
He is now living in Edmonton under strict court-ordered conditions, including a curfew. Authorities say he will be monitored by provincial corrections and local police.
