It pays to be an Egyptian — in the short run. If you’re willing kick in people’s teeth for Pharaoh as one of his law enforcement officers, you can earn a nice income, benefits, health insurance, become eligible for home loans, get a pension, and maybe even some boats, ATVs, and a 50-foot long RV.
It appears to pay to become an outright, overt, and unashamed sinner in an Egyptian society, which you have played a part in making. But then the bill comes due. Egypt goes bust and you have to answer to God now.

I've noticed narcissists will predate on co-dependants in this fashion. And co-dependant types will try to latch onto you as well if they can see they will get something from you that that they want, which they would typically get from a narcissist.

I’ve never seen such a disconnect between the commentary on this site and what I hear in the real world. I’ve talked to dozens of normal conservatives in real life about the Iran War and I haven’t met a single one who’s actually enthusiastically in favor of it. At best they’re warily optimistic. In most cases they’re opposed. In some cases they’re not only opposed but deeply furious. And yet here if you utter a word of criticism about the war you’ll be shouted down by throngs of alleged American conservatives who allegedly have wanted nothing more than for America to go to war with Iran. It just doesn’t reflect what I see on the ground. That’s not just cope because my position is unpopular with “my side.” I’ve held plenty of unpopular positions. I really don’t care. But in this case the social media vs real world divide is stark and unlike anything I’ve seen before.

Trump is the most Christ-like figure of our time by New Testament standards. Why? Due to these 4 Scriptures below. No human being since Christ has divided people into two buckets like Trump. People will decide whether or not they’ll talk to you or keep your company, based on whether or not you like @realdonaldtrump. Pastors will invite or disinvite a minister based on their position on Trump, not on Biblical doctrine! Listen to these passages about Jesus: Matthew 10:34 34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. John 9:16 (ESV) Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a DIVISION among them. John 7:43 (ESV) So there was a DIVISION among the people over him. Matthew 11:6 (ESV) And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.” What makes Jesus “Jesus” is not merely His fame or popularity. It’s His ability to polarize people by His mere Presence. They can’t hide who they are in His Presence. They must make a choice and make it public. Trump is singular in our generation in his ability to do this. It’s almost inexplicable how this happens.
