Why doesn’t @LidlGB use ‘very Lidl helps’ as their strapline when they open near a Tesco

@JobyMortimer @gloucesterrugby But kicking for the corner would mean having to win our own lineout!🤣

Whether you agree with it or not, the campaign to ban @UKLabour MP’s from pubs would appear to have gained their attention more than all of the hospitality trade body lobbying from the last 18 months combined.

@CustomUnitHQ Nothing sorted, but will try collecting from the sorting office, no card left though. It’s poor service

Campaign launched by local hospitality businesses and backed by @wonky_table . #NoLabourMPs is the latest step in our #TaxedOut campaign.
Talking has got us nowhere. We have been ignored while costs keep rising. It is time for industrial action.
We cannot afford to close. We cannot afford to strike. We cannot afford to down tools and march on London. So we will do the one thing that gets MPs attention. We stop serving them until they start serving us.
Even on day one the reaction has been fierce. MPs and hospitality businesses are already clashing. Good. They need to feel the pressure.
Maybe now they will finally get the message.

@JobyMortimer Hi there, sorry to hear this. We're currently trialling the new wifi on one of our units. Other units still have the old wifi system on board. Can you confirm which service you're on please? - Kathy

@AlexReilley1 I don’t see Labour doing anything to support so it’s all about lobbying the next potential government (as I can’t see Labour getting a 2nd term) then surviving until the election. Hospitality will be out of the blocks fast under the right government

OMG a UK political party that actually seems to give a sh*t about the hospitality sector! Well done to the Lib Dems.
A VAT cut wouldn’t just save businesses & jobs it would give the sector the fuel to invest & grow creating jobs and occupying empty premises on our High Streets.
BBC Breakfast@BBCBreakfast
The Liberal Democrats are calling for a 5% cut in VAT in the Budget to support the UK's ailing hospitality sector and their hard-pressed customers. Deputy leader Daisy Cooper told #BBCBreakfast the Chancellor should cut VAT from 20% to 15%, funded by a new windfall tax on big banks, to boost footfall in Britain's pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
