So many things in my upbringing, and in my knowledge agrees with you. And then I went to college, and I dove deep into micro and molecular biology…. In cell biology, you learn that there are nicotine receptors in almost every system of the body. Perfect match for the nicotine molecule. And when nicotine is administered without some of the other features, and sometimes only and it’s pure form, it’s the therapeutic and not addictive. I know it’s a weird one, but there’s actually nicotine in a lot of vegetables . There’s a number of vegetables in the nightshade family that have high levels of nicotine, but in order to have a therapeutic function, you would have to eat a LOT of them. But nicotine therapy like in a patch can get you there faster if you’re trying to treat something. It’s worth looking into. Knowing what I do now about the bad aspects of some nicotine delivery mechanisms (smoking, chewing, etc) and the good that nicotine does for treating some debilitating diseases makes sense that the pharmaceutical industry would want to shut nicotine down.

@RedactedNews This won’t stop anyone from smoking but in theory it’s smart. Nicotine addiction is one of the hardest chemical dependencies to kick.
