Not sure where or how you watched the @avalanche game last night but the @AltitudeTV broadcast produced a far superior product. The picture was crisper. The audio was clearer. And the call was just plain better. That's not a knock on the national crew one bit. Tough to compete with a local broadcast who does this every night.

@jimmathesonnhl Varying degrees? Makar plays PK1 (#1 PK in the league). He also plays against top lines and 5v6 to close out games. Everything a true #1 Dman should be required to do to qualify for the Norris — no exceptions

Thought on nhl norris trophy: I don’t think you can be best defencemen in league if you don’t kill a fair amount of penalties too. Bouchard has over 147 mins on PK. Not just PP guy. Werenski, Makar, Seider, Dahlin do to varying degrees. Hughes is helluva player but 8:17 SH

None of Caufield’s 50 goals have been empty netters but MacKinnon is tied for the league lead in empty netters with 7 Tough (but fair) way to lose a +7500 if MacKinnon holds on Problem is that Cole has ~3 minutes of TOI with the goalie pulled this season compared to 30+ for MacKinnon Comes back to the role each guy can play. Not a knock on Caufield but shutting it down defensively just isn’t part of his game
