Saddened today to learn of the passing of Gene Mangan. Probably the first cycling superstar from the ras era. Winner in 1955 and part of the event for many decades..Multi multi stage winner and above all a lovely man. Was very good to me personally and as a young cyclist. RIP.

Very sad to hear about the death of Eddie Jordan. As well as being a legend of motorsport he was also a keen cyclist and a few years ago a friend of his commissioned me to create an illustration of him enjoying his second favourite sport! #EddieJordan

@faustocoppi60 Buy a chain checker - will save you money in the long run! If it reads .75% then just change the chain but when it gets to 1% then its chain and cassette. A chain should last 5,000 + kms but it depends on care and weather can play a part. Winter is tough on chains!

First ride in almost 3 weeks today, that hurt. 😩 I have a new chain after doing 7000km on the last one. Is that a lot, how often do you replace it? 🤔

Does your school or club need bike parking?

@DanMartin86 It’s including Ireland with the UK but TNT Sport isn’t available on Discovery + for Ireland!! Eurosport is still available for the rest of Europe but we seem to stuck in a void

Discovery’s decision to increase the monthly fee is a sign of cyclings popularity but also how TV advertising is no longer enough to cover the TV rights. I would doubt there has been any substantial increase in TV rights. But putting a sport behind a paywall that justifies team sponsors marketing spend with viewer figures could cause some teams some major headaches.
