We didn’t respond to drink-driving by banning cars. We tackled the behaviour. We changed the law. We enforced it. We educated people.
If the problem is criminals, then deal with criminals. If the problem is illegal vehicles, then get illegal vehicles off the streets.

An outright ban of e-scooters might just be throwing the baby out with the bath water. It most probably would see challenges to our #Wexford @boltapp bike share scheme that appears to need the inclusion of e-scooters to make it profitable.. irishmirror.ie/news/irish-new…

Outright ban would be such a knee-jerk reaction. Many people riding these around responsibly and they should not be punished because some use modified versions/underage/criminality etc. @Dept_Transport & @RSAIreland far too slow out of the traps and have let this get out of hand.
