Downed trees, debris, and power impacts can affect transit operations with little notice. Our operations teams are actively monitoring conditions and prepared to respond. Riders should monitor official service alerts and @mtamaryland social media channels for the latest updates before traveling. Safety is our top priority. Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

@mtamaryland is closely monitoring the moderate risk of severe weather and high winds expected Monday evening across the region. The greatest potential for service disruptions is on MARC service, where high winds and severe weather can impact rail operations and infrastructure. Our operations teams are actively monitoring conditions and will provide updates as needed. Riders should plan ahead and check for service alerts before traveling.

During the snowstorm at the end of Jan we had a rail break on Howard St. The team did a temp fix then to restore full service. This weekend we'll be doing full rail replacement as a permanent fix in that area. Riders will see full service today & single tracking thru the weekend.

On February 25th, we celebrated two incredible careers at MDOT MTA Light Rail. Kent Vaden retires after 31 years of dedicated service, and Frank Fertitta closes out an extraordinary 52-year career in transit.
