I bought a T-40 in like 1979 when I decided to play in a band. It weighed so much my shoulder hurt after every practice, so I experimented with wearing it on a strap around my waist like a belt, and learned to play that way. I've done it ever since and recommend it.

@lucasschooner Longevity combined with consistent quality is what I should’ve said. Longevity on its own doesn’t get that far but REM had like 10 amazing records in a row. That’s rare!

@JoeDeCarolis I always feel like longevity is a little overrated. You can only really be super relevant for so long. REM is definitely up there with Nirvana in terms of popularity but what percentage of people in America do you think could name an SY song?
