These buy a million dollar business posts with almost nothing down are so overplayed and misleading. If it’s a decent business you’re probably generating $250k of cashflow with $130k - $150k going to pay the loan. So you’re left making $100k. Congratulations you bought yourself a job with 10x the stress and all kinds of liability a job doesn’t come with. With very few exceptions, don’t do this.
Bobby Graham@BobbyBizScout

Everyone with a W2 job can buy a boring cash flowing business that nets $20k-$30k a month with as little as $50k down. Sadly, most people don't know the financing tools that make it possible. Here's the exact playbook to buy a $1M business with as little as $50k out of pocket:

@ElliottEHolland That seems excessively high. Like a number a company selling QoE would put out to sell more QoE. What % were small errors that resulted in inconsequential ebitda vs vastly overstating the value of the business?

More than 40% of deals we worked on last year had fake EBITDA. Not "messy books." Fake numbers designed to make you overpay. Nearly half. Most buyers would've closed without catching it if they skipped a QoE. You're not betting on a stock. You're betting your family's future.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran's military called the U.S. seizure of the Touska "maritime armed robbery" and promised that retaliation is coming soon. The Strait of Hormuz is already re-closed. Peace talks abandoned. Tankers fired on. Oil prices are climbing. Iran rarely goes fleet-on-fleet. Expect proxies, drones, or mines before anything direct. The word "soon" is doing a lot of heavy lifting right now.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. Navy is literally shooting engines out of Iranian ships trying to break the blockade... ...while 236 unsanctioned Iran-linked tankers sail around freely in and out of the region. 72 of those tankers were actively moving in the past days OFAC has only hit 397 out of 633 known ones. Kinda odd timing, no? The blockade got teeth for some... but not all Source: @TankerTrackers

“Courage, just as cowardice, can be habit forming.” - Justice Thomas One of the most profound speeches I have ever heard.
KanekoaTheGreat@KanekoaTheGreat

🔥NEW: Clarence Thomas — full remarks on progressivism, its foundations, history, and impact from his appearance at University of Texas at Austin: “Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and Mao were all intertwined with the rise of progressivism, and all were opposed to the natural rights on which our Declaration is based.” "Many progressives expressed admiration for each of them shortly before their governments killed tens of millions of people." "It comes as no surprise that the progressives embraced eugenics... It was only a small step for Wilson to resegregate the federal workforce." "It was only another step for the government to launch sterilization programs on those deemed by the experts of the day to be unfit to reproduce." “European thinkers have long criticized America for remaining trapped in a Lockean world, with its weakened, decentralized government and strong individual rights. They say our 18th-century Declaration has prevented us from progressing to higher forms of government." "But we were fortunate not to trade our Lockean bonds for the supposedly enlightened world of Hegel, Marx, and their followers. Fascism, which after all was national socialism, triggered wars in Europe and Asia that killed tens of millions." "The socialism of the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China proceeded to kill tens of millions more of their own people. This is what happens when natural rights give way to higher-good notions of history or progress, or, as Thomas Sowell has written, the visions of the anointed." "None of this, of course, was an improvement on the principles of the Declaration. Tocqueville's Democracy in America is largely about how America owed its superiority over Europe to its conscious decision to reject central planning and administrative rule, root and branch." "Progressivism, in other words, is retrogressive.”

Reminder this is the playbook Helen and others like her follow: • The Origin Myth: She didn't build her wealth by taking out an SBA loan, signing a personal guarantee, and grinding it out as an owner-operator. She built a startup, but sells a completely different path to her followers. • Borrowed Credibility: She floods her feed with interviews of actual owner-operators to wrap herself in their hard-earned credibility. In reality, she wouldn't be caught dead actually operating a Main Street business. • Massive Risk Asymmetry: She hypes up regular people putting their houses on the line for 7(a) debt, while her own "acquisitions" are just writing minority-stake checks. • Selling the Pickaxes: Her real "boring business" isn't a local plumbing company—it’s a highly scalable, high-margin media machine selling courses, masterminds, and coaching to aspiring buyers.
