Dont know where you went but here in Naples, the water can vary by the specific beach you go to as well as how calm the water is. The sand here is super super fine. Like powdered sugar. The waves stir that up and it appears murky. If that happens regardless, if you swim out, 50-60 yards, that wave impact is almost meaningless and the water will be crystal clear. If youre coming to Naples, DM me when you come and I’ll recommend some specific beaches to go to.
