Tommy Sheridan has come out and said he wants Alex Neil to be the next Celtic manager. His reasoning? “He knows the Championship very well” and “he’s a good Celtic man.” Now I’m going to be honest here that logic alone shouldn’t be anywhere near enough to land the Celtic job. Knowing the Championship and being a fan doesn’t equal being ready to manage a club of this size, with the expectations, pressure, and European demands that come with it. We’ve just come through a season where recruitment, structure, and decision-making have been heavily questioned, the next appointment has to be elite, modern, and forward-thinking not sentimental. This isn’t about who loves the club the most it’s about who can take it to the next level. Do you agree with Tommy or is this another “jobs for the bhoys” shout?

Rangers are right to go to SPFL board to complain about Celtic’s attempt to dictate who attends the game in the away section. It would have been better to work quietly in the background together to try and restrict the rogue element of balaclava wearing troublemakers.

That team for a semi final is genuinely embarrassing. Don’t know how many times we need to see Maeda through the middle to know it doesn’t work. Guy who can’t hit a barn door this season and his second touch is a tackle leading the line. Brutal.

An Italian man single handedly created one quarter of all counterfeit euros circulating in Europe, from his garage in Naples. Italian Police raided his house and uncovered a sophisticated hidden printing setup located behind the garage. He had constructed a false wall mounted on rails and concealed behind a wardrobe. The entire wall slid open when activated by a simple homemade electronic switch. Behind the secret entrance officers discovered a full scale production facility equipped with 31 digital printing machines operating around the clock. This lone operator had manufactured fake banknotes in 20, 50, and 100 euro denominations totaling 11 million euros in face value. He managed to distribute eight million euros worth of these counterfeits throughout Europe with the majority passing through France. Authorities recovered an additional three million euros in completed fake notes still on the premises waiting for shipment. The European Central Bank verified that the forgeries reached an outstanding level of quality. The holograms in particular were nearly indistinguishable from those on genuine currency. The fake bills had surfaced in ten separate countries before investigators finally linked every batch to this one individual operating out of Naples.

Andoni Iraola is set to leave Bournemouth at the end of the season, currently earning around £1.5M a year. For context, Brendan Rodgers returned to Celtic in June 2023 on a deal worth roughly £3M per year making him the highest-paid manager in the club’s history. That puts Iraola well within our financial reach. For me, we would be absolutely crazy not to at least ask the question and put a serious offer on the table for a manager of his quality.
