How many A&E patients wait more than 12 hours between a decision to admit them to hospital and actually being admitted?
In August 2010, NHS England recorded one case of this. Not 100, not 1,000. Just one.
Last month, that figure was 29,317.

@docrobperry @lee_georgina This is absolutely correct. Sadly, the whole flow of the health and social care system is jammed. The problems are more at the back door than the front. Hundreds of patients in most acute fit for discharge but with no onward care pathway

@lee_georgina And they are correct. What is portrayed as an A&E performance target actually has very little to do with A&E. It’s about being unable to move patients on. ED staff, like ED patients, are victims of this, not perpetrators.

You can see relationship between two (ICU noisier because lower numbers), but also drop in ICU recently

Positive - Glos 223% (peak 399%), England 182% (peak 317%)

Dying - Glos 11%, Eng 16%

It is with great pleasure I can tell you there are ZERO active covid patients in Intensive Care @gloshospitals
Community rates are very high and there are a significant number of cases on our wards but early signs are that vaccination IS preventing severe disease.

6. Always important to bear in mind age profile is v different now (because of vaccination). In week to 27 Nov, there were 2,854 cases among <60s, more than 10x number in 60+s (282). Difference in trends suggests impact of boosters
