@msm_monitor Oh, I’ve seen demands. You have to wonder what, after a four year police investigation, this is expected to achieve. Oh no, of course. It allows the BritNats to have another crack at NS, after the police couldn’t find anything to charge her with.
English

@msm_monitor Absolutely correct. It tells you something about how this whole affair has been conducted that they all believe they had a right to a show trial immediately before the election. Because what was all this for, if not to smear the SNP?
English

@RussellFindlay1 A four year investigation costing £2m.
Murder tents on the front lawn.
Nicola Sturgeon charged with nothing.
If there had been any evidence against her you know fine well it would have been found.
There wasn’t any, so you’re resorting to smear tactics. Just like a Tory.
English

Nicola Sturgeon and her crooked husband lived the high life using money stolen from their own people ...
And she knew NOTHING?
Aye right.

@ScotNational @warriorbadger ‘I’m sorry, Fiona. Would you mind terribly showing me anywhere - literally anywhere - that’s written down? We’ll all wait.’
English

@spfl You have no way to weasel out of this. The full amount of stoppage time wasn’t played due to the pitch invasion (and assault on Hearts players, which you fail to mention or condemn), so either the game was abandoned, or the referee blew the whistle too early. Which will it be?
English

SPFL Statement
"Firstly, we send our congratulations to Celtic on winning the William Hill Premiership in the most exciting of circumstances and send our commiserations to everyone at Heart of Midlothian following an incredible campaign.
“We would also like to thank the referee and his excellent team of match officials for their cool heads on such a dramatic day. Given the speculation about the conclusion of the game, we would like to make clear that, prior to awarding the trophy, we were informed by the match referee that the match had ended and had not been abandoned.
"Yesterday’s match showed off the very best of the Scottish game and the drama and excitement that it is rightly famed for. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow and the climax of the William Hill Premiership, with millions of viewers watching the match on Sky Sports and across the globe.
"However, we utterly condemn the scenes which saw a number of Celtic supporters encroach onto the field of play. We await the report of our match delegate regarding any specific incidents that took place but, regardless, supporters entering the field of play in any circumstances is wholly unacceptable and puts those participating and working at a match at risk. We note that entering the pitch in England and Wales has been a criminal offence since 1991. We urge anyone with information about any alleged criminal activity to contact Police Scotland."

English

@Malcolm_Offord Well, you’re either pig-ignorant, or you’re a barefaced liar. Or both, of course.
The SNP literally cannot run up a deficit, because Holyrood has to operate within a fixed budget. That’s the way devolution is set up. Your imaginary ‘deficit’ is from spending by Westminster.
English

@BEAR_Scotland We were driving up from North Wales to Edinburgh last night via Biggar. No signage on the M74 to indicate the road was closed. No signage at the Maidencoates roundabout where the diversion apparently began. It took us 80 minutes extra. This really isn’t acceptable.

Kieron Bowie's transfer fee could hit £7m as Hibs agree to sell to Hellas Verona. Great bit of business for a player who cost £600,000 from Fulham 18 months ago. Story by John Greechan.

@johnerskine @AnasSarwar Next First Minister? Fortunately for Scotland, absolutely no chance.

@Douglas4Moray @JohnSwinney Remarkable that you describe someone else as thinking they’re above the law, when you used to work for Boris Johnson.
English

A Christmas nightmare for @JohnSwinney.
He's repeatedly refused to refer his lying justice secretary to the ministerial code watchdog because he knows she broke it.
He should have sacked her weeks ago, but she's still in post because SNP ministers believe they're above the law.
Alasdair Clark@alasdair_clark
NEW: The independent advisers have notified First Minister John Swinney that they wish to initiate an investigation into Justice Secretary Angela Constance
English

@ZiaYusufUK Quite apart from the fact that this is obvious nonsense (a 100% clear-up rate for petty theft - what planet are you on?) this is how all repressive regimes start. ‘We must protect the good people’. Except the definition of ‘good people’ invariably changes over time.
English

Reform will ensure the law is universally and unflinchingly enforced.
Steal a phone?
Instead of a <1% chance of being caught as currently, you will be caught 100% of the time.
You will be jailed.
Carry a deadly weapon?
You will be stopped and searched.
You will be jailed.
Turn up on our beaches illegally?
You will be detained.
You will deported.
With 100% certainty.
We will bring back law and order in this country, and ensure law abiding citizens feel safe.
English

@tracygilbert72 Is that the same Great British Energy which you pretended would be based in Aberdeen and create lots of jobs there? That Great British Energy? It’s so hard to keep track of the lies.
English

Yes. Our dash to renewables has been so successful that at 3pm today we were having to import 14% of our electricity needs from four different countries. So much for energy security/self-sufficiency.
ECIU@ECIU_UK
And research out today shows that the ⬆️ of offshore wind has ⬇️ the UK’s spending on imported fuels by at least £30bn (in 2024 real prices) to-date eciu.net/media/press-re…
English

@J4m35c4mpb3ll @dick_john It’s not a distraction, you patronising twat. It’s literally the reason the SNP exists.
English

@MatildaMinter @StephenFlynnSNP Devolution is like giving your entire salary to your neighbour, getting less than half of it back, and then being told by the neighbour that you’d be able to afford all the extra stuff they’ve bought for themselves if you budgeted better.
English

@MatildaMinter @StephenFlynnSNP It’s pretty simple. The budget for the government is fixed. The budget for Westminster isn’t. So Westminster don’t have to find the money for an additional project like this from within existing funding streams. They can borrow if they like.
English

You’d have the highest budget deficit in the western world if you were independent — and no means to fund it. Good luck with that.
independence@WilliamN63989
@afneil Remember Andrew we are in a union, Scotland is currently not an independent country and doesn't have the fiscal controls to fund itself.
English

@AndrewBowie_MP Oh look, it’s Scotland getting a terrible deal because of the Union. EVEN YOU can see it, when it affects your own constituency. The problem, of course, is that you refuse to see it at all other times. Please stop pretending this is specific to Labour.
English

@Cromwellian77 @DCFRowe @LesleyRiddoch One dissenting post. One. That’s how long it took you to resort to personal insults. I wish I were surprised, but the fact is that you don’t have anything else, do you. The UK’s grip on Scotland is failing, and there is literally nothing you can do about it. Do enjoy the show.
English

@DCFRowe @LesleyRiddoch Spoken like a true Anglophobic Irish Republican supporting cretin.
As for your "decolonised" imbecility, what do two of the more intelligent separatists have to say on that issue?

English

@LesleyRiddoch If Plaid start gaining in the polls, there will be plenty more of this. The BBC doesn’t usually bother with a lot of editorial bias in Wales, because it’s always run by a nice safe pro-Union Labour government. If that changes…
