As I am thinking of all our schools staring today, I am reminded of one of my favorite things about KY. In KY, districts celebrate “First Day”, when everyone returns from summer. They celebrate and show excitement for the coming year. I wish everyone would take up that tradition.

Last day of school in Rowan County is MAY 16, 2019 dismissing at 1 pm. Graduation will be held on May 16th at 7:00 pm.

In most everything worth doing there will be frustrations and disappointments. Effective leaders respond with positive direction rather than useless blame. Improvement comes when the goal is so well understood by all people pursuing it that there is no time nor reason to whine.
