
🤖 AI is deciding which creators get to stay on YouTube. Not humans. In just the last 6 months, YouTube has removed 2.8+ million channels. And 76% of those bans came from the “Spam / Deceptive Practices / Scams” policy — the enforcement category that relies most heavily on automated systems. Which means the algorithm is often the one deciding who stays on the platform… and who gets erased. Appeals are frequently automated too — so the same system that flags the channel is the one denying the appeal. If the AI makes a mistake, a creator’s entire career can disappear without any human review at all. This isn’t just “policy enforcement.” It’s real people losing years of work, income, and identity — instantly. Permanent decisions need real human oversight.
