What is your favourite - not necessarily the best - 3 film run of consecutive films by any Director? I think mine is John McTiernan with Predator, Die Hard and the Hunt for Red October. I love all 3 of those films.

As referenced on Review…. Liverpools defensive record this season makes for grim reading In amongst talk of wingers and midfielders the personnel, approach, team shape & structure required to deliver a strong defensive record should be a priority Liverpool have currently conceded 70 goals *excl Charity Shield all comps Liverpool are 5 goals away in all comps from conceding the same number of goals in a season as Souness’s 92/93 season 25/26 played 1 less game currently In the league its a higher goals conceded per game ratio for Slot 92/93 = 1.30 goals conceded per league game 25/26 = 1.34 goals conceded per league game Rodgers worst defensive season was 1.32 goals conceded per league game To be in the same conversation as Graeme Souness’s 1992/93 side that included 50 appearances by a combination of David Burrows, Torben Piechnik & Nicky Tanner is quite incredible - all hard working players but limited it’s fair to say They conceded 16 from set pieces in all comps 92/93 This has been surpassed by the 25/26 squad in the premier league alone Different era, different game but to be delivering those defensive numbers this season is quite incredible Liverpools underlying defensive numbers vs league average paint a slightly better picture courtesy @Statsbomb ⬇️

@AndrewTVUAN I am not disputing that but nobody wants him sacked for that reason. They want him sacked for loads of other far more significant reasons - breaking negative records every other week, lack of fitness, no signs of progress etc

@JoeSimpson79 I think it's undeniable that fans are struggling to warm to him because he's different from Klopp. Events from 50 years ago don't disprove this. The constant criticism is 'we have no style of play' that simply isn't true, It's undoubtable imo that people js don't recognise it

2 LFC myths: 1) The fans are unhappy with Slot as he isn't Klopp. No, Paisley wasn't as charismatic as Shankly but he was great at his job and the fans loved him. 2) The fans are unhappy as the style of play is more technical. No, the fans are unhappy because it isn't working.

You know what I find quietly ironic? Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes have built their reputations on rigorous analysis and data-driven decision-making - operators who trust the numbers above all else. #LFC

How we can persist with Slot? There isn't a single part of the team performing well. There is nothing he can point to and say that he is doing a good job with. What are we good at? What signs of progress are there? If it is transition then what are we transitioning to?

Liverpool have conceded 70+ goals in a single season (all competitions) for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign, and for only the 18th time in the club's 134-year history. #LFC

Standards and the culture of the club are in the drains and yet somehow the person in charge of it all has the best job security in the sport. Just great stuff from the smartest operators in world football.

Can everyone share and get behind this letter to @John_W_Henry now? Yesterday showed this isn’t “some fans”. That was Anfield. If you backed it, add your name and share. The more people who do, the harder this is to ignore. lfcsb.co.uk/dearjohn

This “small group”, “some fans” narrative has been peddled repeatedly by the club’s communications department to downplay supporter feeling. Today’s the day to show them otherwise…

@StevenD1977 @A_GymGuy Agree if he had to sell players he wanted to keep and buy players he didn’t rate (or who didn’t have the profile he wants then they offer mitigation). However even if that is the case he should imo have shown more than we have seen this season.

@A_GymGuy @JoeSimpson79 Take Frimpong for example. Did Slot say ‘i need a RB ‘ or ‘ get me Frimpong’. If the former, then he’s been given one he clearly doesn’t trust, if its latter then it’s on him fully.

@StevenD1977 @A_GymGuy Isn't the issue that we are being told this is a season of transition but what are we transitioning to? Has anyone seen us making progress on the pitch in any area (attacking, defending or controlling the game)?
