Joe, the list of electors contains additional sensitive information, such as Voter ID Number, which telephone books don’t. Aside from from that, this list is strictly prohibited from public use. It’s not negotiable.

One of the four criteria for a successful lawsuit of this type is that the legal matter was ruled in favour of the plaintiff - she was found guilty so this lawsuit fails on that basis. Her lawyer would know this, so is essentially just taking her money.

What followed was the longest mischief trial in the history of the Commonwealth. Both of us were convicted of mischief for our part in the most peaceful and polite protest of all time, and sentenced to 18 months of house arrest. Even more outrageous? The UCP Government has passed a law saying that only political parties with MLAs can campaign in the Referendum. This is so anti democratic it is almost beyond words. Democracy is dying in Alberta. Elections Alberta has been weaponized to throttle democracy, not encourage it.
