@Gentleman_Ways He could be an ass, had a humility problem, but I am choosing John Adams. Very flawed but knew it. Trusted his wife, loved his nation. He is my pick because of his flaws.

Name a great man from history who epitomized what it means to be a gentleman. I’ll start: George Washington

Manners still matter, even though we may not see them practiced as much in today’s society. What’s one traditional manner you were taught growing up that you still practice today?

@RickWMiller1 @CharlesTingler He lost me on the statement that he has gone deeper than most converts. Silly statement and I can't take it seriously. I am a convert, 21 years as a Catholic. I have a better understanding now, even though quite well read when entering the church. Bold statements here.

This is sincere, but it needs one critical clarification to remain fully Catholic: you cannot enter the Church while holding that she teaches doctrinal “errors or contradictions,” because that conflicts with Christ’s promise that His Church will not defect (Matthew 16:18) and that Peter’s faith will not fail (Luke 22:32). What you can rightly recognize is confusion, ambiguity, poor governance, or tensions in non-definitive teachings, but not error in what the Church definitively teaches on faith and morals. Your rejection of sedevacantism is sound, and your desire to raise concerns is legitimate, but it must be done in the spirit outlined by the Code of Canon Law, canon 212 §3, with reverence, humility, and submission, not as one standing in judgment over the Church, but as a son within her. You are not entering to fix the Church, but to be formed by her, trusting that Christ remains faithful to what He established even in times of real crisis.

I have studied Catholicism for about two years. I have gone deeper than most converts. I see a real crisis in the Church. I understand why resistance movements exist, including those that claim the entire hierarchy has defected, like sedevacantism. I do not accept that conclusion. I hold that the Catholic Church is the Church Christ established, with the Bishop of Rome and the bishops in communion with him. I see errors, contradictions, and confusion. I do not ignore them. I address them carefully and respectfully. At the same time, I continue to trust God. I plan to enter the Church on Pentecost. After I am received, I will take a more active role. As a candidate, I have mostly shared my views publicly. Going forward, I intend to communicate directly with bishops and officials in Rome. I will raise concerns through proper channels and make my voice heard where it can have real impact.

@Gentleman_Ways I wish I appreciated classical music more. I love Vivaldi, a little Beethoven, Ode to Joy may be the only pice I think os perfection. Outside of that I have not made a great study. Im more of a blue collar gentleman with a heavy emphasis faith.

Start your Saturday with some beautiful music. This is Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E flat major, op. 73, "Emperor" by Krystian Zimmerman, with the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra conducted by Leonard Bernstein.

There is no question that Pope Leo is a True Far Left Ideologue! The Pope states, “the Church should not revolve around sexual issues. We tend to think that when the Church speaks of morality, the only moral issue is a sexual one. In reality, I believe there are much larger and more important issues—such as justice, equality, the freedom of men and women, and religious freedom—that should take priority over that particular issue.” What happened to Abortion and Euthanasia as important issues? Sexual Immorality is the basis for 90% of all Abortions! Euthanasia is rapidly being used in Democratic Run States! He seems to be sweeping the Homosexual Issue under the rug! It clear now that as Catholics we are to become Social Justice Activists in the mold of the Corrupt Jesuit Order! The Catholic Church desperately needs a Catholic Pope who solidly defends Traditional Catholic Teachings! We need a Holy Pope! We don’t need an Activist Pope for Far Left Issues!

JUST IN: Pope Leo XIV responds to Cardinal Marx — Says Vatican does not approve blessing of same sex couples. Adds a blessing can be given to “all people” like at the end of Mass. Leo states—— “First of all, I believe it is very important to understand that the unity or division of the Church should not revolve around sexual issues. We tend to think that when the Church speaks of morality, the only moral issue is a sexual one. In reality, I believe there are much larger and more important issues—such as justice, equality, the freedom of men and women, and religious freedom—that should take priority over that particular issue. The Holy See has already spoken with the German bishops. The Holy See has made it clear that we do not agree with the formal blessing of couples—in this case, same-sex couples, as you requested—or of couples in irregular situations, beyond what Pope Francis has specifically permitted by saying that all people should receive the blessing. When a priest gives the blessing at the end of Mass, when the Pope gives the blessing at the end of a great celebration like the one we had today, there are blessings for all people. Francis’s famous expression, “everyone, everyone, everyone,” expresses the Church’s conviction that everyone is welcomed, everyone is invited, everyone is invited to follow Jesus, and everyone is invited to seek conversion in their own lives. To go beyond this today, I believe, could cause more disunity than unity, and that we should seek to build our unity on Jesus Christ and on what Jesus Christ teaches. This is my answer to the question.

@Gentleman_Ways Nothing to be honest. Through all the bad and good, and a number of years being less than a gentleman took a toll on me, but it allowed me to get to where I could rebuild and grow. Found my catholic faith. And my young self wouldn't have trusted my middle aged self at all.

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸
The U.S. government has to refund $166 billion in tariffs, PLUS interests. Trump said he would be paying Americans checks from tariffs and eventually even replace the income tax. So now not only are you not getting DOGE checks after he cancelled DOGE, you’re not getting tariff checks and paying the interests back on tariffs collected. And you are also paying $2 billion a day for Trump and Netanyahu’s war in Iran. And you are paying on avg $4 per gallon gas and inflation is rising again. The lack of humility and understanding the struggle of regular Americans is astounding to me. Trump and his lackeys demand loyalty and name call and bully yet Americans struggle more and more.

When people read the Bible for themselves, they often leave Catholicism. They see that many church dogmas actually go against the clear teaching of the Scriptures, or aren't supported by Scripture in any clear way.

@jackhunter74 I could not believe it when I saw the clip of @seanhannity publicly denouncing his Catholic faith. Regardless of political parties, your beliefs in your faith should never be sold for a few million dollars or silver coins. It’s like Judas. I suppose. Not good.

I’ve long considered Sean Hannity a dumb person. His ideology is whatever Republican politics is in any given moment. He doesn’t question or challenge it. He just goes along. A complete tool. His job. Now, he is giving up the faith of his youth over loyalty to Donald Trump and his ridiculous war with Iran. Neocon > God. Just when you thought Sean Hannity couldn’t get any dumber, he delivers.
Stew Peters@realstewpeters

HANNITY: “Where are the pointed words from the Pope against Iran? Trump is correct and the Pope is wrong…on so many levels. As of today, I no longer consider myself a Catholic.” Hannity leaves the Catholic Church to worship Donald Trump.
