My sense on Dexter Lawrence.
#Giants need to pay him because his contract is outdated, their DT depth chart is weak and they need to end narrative about not taking care of their own.
And I don't think Dex really wants to go. Just be fairly compensated.

Surveying teams across the NFL on Dexter Lawrence. No consensus on what his value is. It's difficult to determine because, sources told @snytv, because you've seen complete dominance ... then questions in 2025 on work ethic/shape/drop in production.
The need for a new contract, likely one near $35m APY, muddies the waters.
Still, if the #Giants actually entertain moving their captain, some of the numbers I've heard from teams ..
- A late 2026 first-round pick
- A 2027 first-round pick
- A second & fifth round pick

ESPN sources: Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and he will not be participating in the team’s off-season workout program that opens Tuesday. Lawrence and the Giants have been through two off seasons attempting to negotiate a contract reflecting his value to the Giants over the last three years, but there has not been any progress, per sources.

Dexter Lawrence has two years remaining on his deal and is currently scheduled to make $20 million this upcoming season.
Initially there had been optimism that with changes in the organization, discussions could move forward. But now that they haven’t, new Giants head coach John Harbaugh will open his team’s off-season program Tuesday without one of his best players.
