@mooreholmes24 Im an Arsenal fan and never watched Scottish football, but i watched this game because of the unique nature of it. What i saw from thr Celtic fans and players was utterly revolting. I went from not really caring for feeling a deep dislike for Celtic. Felt for Hearts. Sad day.

The eyes of the world were on Scottish football this weekend. The title race captivated a global audience as it all came down to a final showdown. Yet even with the world watching on, Celtic couldn’t help but show themselves for what they are. Their fans violently attacked players and staff of their opponents - and not for the first time. This only happens because of the culture of unaccountability both within the SPL, who allow Celtic to act with impunity, and the Celtic Football Club themselves, who would rather celebrate thuggery by their fans instead of tackle it. Celtic as a club, as a fan base, and as an institution, are a perpetual embarrassment to Scotland and to football. Constantly bringing the beautiful game into disrepute.

You’re right. I’m just pretty feed up with Scottish football to be honest. You can revel in that if you wish but there is a bad taste in a lot of football people mouth now & that isn’t healthy for the Scottish game. We have seen what’s gone on with our own eyes & it’s not great.

My goodness. So many emotions and details to unpack. My overriding feeling is the SPL title was not lost by Hearts in today’s game. It was lost with that outrageous VAR call for Celtic vs Motherwell. And I still don’t understand why there wasn’t more official pushback at the last fixture being ‘randomly’ Celtic home to Hearts. But ultimately it doesn’t matter now. Gutted for Hearts.

So that absolutely shocking VAR intervention for the Celtic penalty against Motherwell earlier this week proved to be crucial and helped rob Hearts and deliver Celtic the title. A great shame for Scottish football.

Congratulations Celtic on the most tainted title ever in this century. Funny saying this despite the Covid title and a Cup being won after the final was rescheduled for after their opponents was relegated and half the team was sold off, all happening in the last few years. Strange coincidence that in all 3 instances, it was one club benefitting. Well tried Hearts. But it was all too much at the end.
