Muslim reject the fundamental part of Christianity and therefore disrespect Jesus by only seeing him as a prophet.

I'm pleased to say that we've just had a huge operation across Great Yarmouth cracking down on dodgy vape shops and blatant fronts operating on our high streets. 10,820 illicit cigarettes and 4kg of rolling tobacco were seized yesterday alone, with six separate premises targeted following tip-offs. All achieved after inspection by officers and trained search dogs - I want to thank the officers, and of course the dogs! This initiative was delivered through cross-party work between Restore Britain/Great Yarmouth First and Reform UK on Norfolk County Council. Carried out in partnership with Norfolk Police, Great Yarmouth Borough Council and HMRC. I'd like to thank Reform Cllr Scott Hussey, Norfolk County Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health for his constructive work on this. It's appreciated. As we have said from the start, we will work with anyone to deliver for Great Yarmouth. This is good progress, and there is plenty more to come.

The Salford mosque has been operating without planning for at least 6 years, and they've had to apply for permission now. This is what I asked for funding for in April (see below) and it’s been successful. The second half of the campaign is to resist this retrospective planning application which the Council have “advised” the mosque to submit. This mosque would have 4,200 square feet floorspace, right across this building, and might come to dominate the area. It would have no parking. Pretty much all day every day: “The operation times, Monday to Sunday is; 05:00 – 09:00, 13:00 – 14:30, then 17:00 – 21:00”. We’ve won the first leg of this fight. Plenty of predictable howling about Restore Britain's policy of allowing landlords to introduce contained smoking rooms in their pubs. If grown adults want to sit in a room, with the landlord's full permission and backing, to smoke/vape the night away - then it is none of my business to say otherwise. If it's clearly labelled, away from other customers and well ventilated? Go for it. I detest smoking. I would not use these rooms, but should that stop others? No. Of course it's not healthy, but neither is sinking fifteen pints of Guinness in one sitting and we don't ban that. It will give neglected pubs a huge economic boost, and keep hundreds of them operational. Restore Britain firmly believes in personal responsibility and that is reflected in our policy offering.
