A COMPROMISED POLICE FORCE The Manipur Police has been quick to act whenever there is the possibility of harm befalling Meitei individuals, including those radicalized youths belonging to armed militant groups. Displaying shocking visible partisanship, it immediately targets Zo civilians, arresting them speedily and arbitrarily, even in the absence of concrete evidence as to their guilt, to please the radicalized Meitei public. Even minor children as young as a 9-year-old were arrested! The Meitei police and Meitei CM then eagerly go on to announce that arrests have been made as if they had caught the real culprits, even before any serious inquiries, investigations and trials were held. Why is the Manipur police targeting Zo civilians and deliberately turning a blind eye to the inhumane crimes of Meitei radicals and terrorists? Under whose final authority are they acting with such brazen partisanship and public display of communal bias? It remains to be seen when or whether the Manipur Police will ever detain the following: 1. Mairembam Romesh Mangang, the PRO of the current Kumbi A/C MLA, whose picture of him holding David Thiek’s decapitated head in his hands and a dao in the other has gone viral months ago. 2. Bijendra Singh, an Arambai Tenggol member who has recently shared a video clip showing David Thiek being interrogated before being brutally murdered. The Manipur Police Commando personnel seen in the video who is also involved in this barbarous murder. 3. Korounganba Khuman, the leader of the Arambai Tenggol, who has indoctrinated and radicalized Meitei youths, and under whose leadership sophisticated guns were taken from police stations and used against Zo civilians and the Central security forces, and who has recently called for a war and all-out attack against all Zo districts. 4. Pramot Singh, chief of the Meitei Leepun, who has actively promoted the genocide of the Zo ethnic tribes (Zomi-Kuki-Mizo) and has been served a non-bailable warrant of arrest. 5. Thounaojam Shyamkumar Singh, a Meitei MLA who led a mob of Meira Paibis and forced the Indian Army to release 12 Meitei terrorists who are wanted members of the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), a Meitei terrorist organization based in Myanmar. 6. The Meira Paibi leaders who are responsible for the burning alive of a minor, Tongsing Hangshing (age 7), along with his mother and aunt. 7. Leisemba Sanajaoba, the patron of the Arambai Tenggol, who has spewed hatred against the Zo community and incited his stooges to launch military attacks against Zo civilians and the Central security forces.
