Don’t think I’ve ever been so desperate for a team to lose, then win, then lose again

@nffc_tim Yes for Bakwa and the others, but sad seeing a muted Yatesy 🥺

@DaveHo1mes Agree, it’s the suggestion of wholesale changes that doesn’t stack up.
At this point, fully trusting the coach who has more than proved himself to utilise the squad appropriately.
And then remembering that we need only match one of those below (worst case scenario) is reassuring.
English

I’ve seen some suggestions for wholesale changes which I don’t agree with, but having a plan where say Aina plays no more than an hour or Wood plays just the first half is a reasonable thing to do if the circumstances allow it.
If Sangare or Cunha are 50/50 then you probably don’t risk them from the start either when we have other options, Pereira managed that Midtjylland second leg going into the Spurs game very well, and although you won’t be able to make as many changes the theory itself was solid and the players seemingly bought into it.
One more win from either of these next two games should do it, but United away when they’ve already secured Champions League football isn’t an impossible task, as long as we’re safe before Bournemouth it doesn’t really matter when it’s secured.
English

Winning breeds confidence as #NFFC have seen in recent weeks, the Spurs result today shouldn’t dictate things massively but if they were to lose then maybe a player who’s 50/50 to play isn’t risked on Monday.
I’d be tempted to try the shape Pereira used at City and maybe that gives them an opportunity to rotate a couple of players in like Netz, Yates or McAtee, whatever he goes with I’m sure they’ll be a plan in place to make changes around an hour in with Thursday night in mind.

@WhoScored @WARRIOR_1865 @LUFC @NFFC @ManUtd @SpursOfficial @WestHam @ManCity The irony that 8/11 are in relegation battling teams shows the intensity of it all
English

Peu de personnes en ont parlé hier, mais l’entrée de James McAtee hier, c’est du 10/10 😮💨👏🏴
On sera derrière toi jusqu’au bout, James. 🙌

@NFFC_CHRIS_ He wants to go back to Germany apparently, otherwise - yes, he’d be a great signing
English

@Reggie8jb Very humble if the interview about sibling loss is anything to go by. Did you really see his teammates supporting him like that??
English

i did also note that he didn't go round the pitch after like the other lads. Think he's a humble boy #NFFC
English

Great game from Morato. Could not have asked for more.
noticeable how much his team mates talked to him throughout. Felt like a constant instruction to keep it simple. Lad has had concentration issues throughout for us, so hopefully last night was the new blue print #NFFC

@TotalVilla_ Better without Ndoye and CHO has been anonymous for ages. We will pay a back 7 next week and two keepers
English

Yesterday, Nottingham Forest were without Callum Hudson-Odoi, Dan Ndoye, Ibrahim Sangare, Jair Cunha and Murillo through injury.
I can’t help but feel we missed an opportunity against a weakened Forest as barring Hudson-Odoi, the rest could be back next week 😪 #avfc

@lee_gilbey I saw that!! Someone suggested he had a third lung 😆

@MattDavies_FF @forestfocuspod @MichaelTemps Legends. Oh and looks like I was wrong about the Insta posts and Murillo 😬

With Murillo almost certainly out for #NFFC on Thursday night, and question marks over Jair Cunha, everything points toward a Morato start against Villa.
Ortega likely in goal for Forest too, so they will look to play out often from the back. Keep an eye out for #AVFC setting up to allow Morato as an easy option for Ortega before pouncing on him in the press.
Against Fulham at the weekend, Villa allowed Leno to pass to Calvin Bassey 15 times, compared to just 3 passes to the much more comfortable Joachim Andersen.
