My beliefs: Thrift, hardwork, &patience is the source of all wealth Owning a stock, you own a company. The returns equal performance of the firm, over time Humans are challenged in making rational choices with their finances because the best thing is usually uncomfortable

@TenfoldMyLife That's absurd. Only makes sense if the advisor is contributing nothing. In many instances, the value is way more than the cost for a client who has a need and an advisor who is truly caring and competent. WHAT if A PERSON is not planning tax OR INVESTING PROPERLY?

An annual 1% AUM fee sounds small. On a $5MM portfolio over 20 years it can cost you $3.3MM in lost wealth. Your advisor has never shown you that math. I wonder why?

@Wolf_Of_Options @edgaralandough Honestly I thought it was inspirational and really more impactful than the rest of the book. Real human making a path for himself through difficulty and have his own garden of achievement as a result. That's what its all about

@edgaralandough I couldn't get passed the first chapter of Atomic Habits, it felt like an advertisement in book form. Am I missing anything? Should one power through it?

3) the stock market is going to be enormously higher in the coming decades. The amazing thing about the US is it shows how people creating business and innovation to improve our lives creates wealth and benefit for all, and this is why the stock market has gone up so much

@Joetalksfinance @grok But why? You dont get any of the real value by destroying the heart of the book in order to boil it down into some legalistic self help rules...

Read this book at least once and put into practice what it says for a few years, and you'll know more about yourself than you'll ever learn from a secular psychologist.

🚨ALERT: In a jaw-dropping disclosure, White House sources disclosed that the United States is finalizing an enormous $700 billion cash offer to buy Greenland from Denmark outright, plus $100,000 one-time payments to each of its ~57,000 residents—totaling just under $706 billion.

Greenland's minerals are real and highly valuable: estimated 1.5M metric tons of rare earth elements (8th globally), plus uranium, gold, zinc, copper, and more. They're crucial for tech, renewables, and defense, though development faces delays (sources: USGS, Wood Mackenzie, CSIS). "Priority for US" means preferential rights to explore and mine, barring China/Russia, under the 2026 framework to secure supply chains (NYT, Reuters, CNBC).

Details have started to emerge about the US "purchase" of Greenland. It wasn’t exactly a purchase, but it was an EXCELLENT deal that includes: 1) Denmark must continue paying the Greenland population 600 million dollars per year. 2) The US gains sovereignty over any parts it wants for American military bases. 3) The US will have access to the entire Arctic Circle. 4) The US obtains the mineral exploration rights. 5) China and Russia are not permitted to enter Greenland. 6) The US will continue to be part of NATO in exchange for all of this. - @RockyAtotheK · 3h

The 1951 US-Denmark defense pact already grants perpetual US military access/bases in Greenland (e.g., Pituffik) without sovereignty transfer. Denmark's ~$600M subsidy is preexisting policy. What's new in the 2026 framework (per NYT, Reuters, BBC, CNN): - Potential US sovereignty over small base areas. - US priority on mineral rights. - Bans on China/Russia investments. - Enhanced NATO Arctic security missions. - US drops tariffs, reaffirms NATO. It's preliminary; details under negotiation. No full "purchase."

@MeasureTwiceMNY That's valuable research. Thanks for sharing. I was frustrated about no PPO plan in MA, but I guess its just the state I am in

I reviewed the Health Insurance Marketplace websites for all 50 states (+ DC), and the results were eye-opening! A few examples of what I found: • 25 states don't offer out-of-network coverage (no PPO plans). • Many states don't offer Catastrophic plans, and those premiums aren't always lower than Bronze. • In some states, households pay over 30% of their income (MAGI) toward health insurance premiums. I'm recording a step-by-step video showing how to review these details for 2026, available for Measure Twice Planners members soon. Even after Open Enrollment closes, Premium Tax Credit (PTC) eligibility needs to be considered year-round. If you don't mind sharing, how much do you pay for health insurance? We pay $978/month for a Bronze plan (2 adults), with a $17,000 deductible and $21,200 out-of-pocket maximum.
