@isee_colors @voipms That’s my understanding. I have $10 on mine right now I added before the VOIPO stuff happened
English

@JohnAllenWalker @voipms One other question: Once I add $15 to my account, I do not have to set up auto refill and can choose to add money as I see fit even with the understanding that if my balance drops below the $15 dollar threshold,my inbound and outbound will be suspended until I replenish it? Yes?

@isee_colors @voipms You can even order a dummy number on voip ms get all your stuff working and just do some call forwarding until the port goes thru

@isee_colors @voipms I used the grand steam adapter. You only need a web browser. You can reset it using a paper clip and a few seconds on the reset button.

@JohnAllenWalker @voipms And did you re-use the Grandstream adapter from Voipo or did you have to do some basic config/setting changes? I now only have a Macbook Pro with no Ethernet adapter so I'd have to run out and buy one to access the Terminal Adapter.

@katelynn2120342 @wxornotBG Doubtful. There’s not even a severe thunderstorm warning or any special weather statement. Just typical summer storms and wind.

@ryanhallyall @Granger4NH But the weather business isn’t the same as it was 25 years ago. In 2025, you have people like yourself who can broadcast the weather anytime, anywhere. We have a whole country of weather watchers. From my viewpoint, this reduces the need for as much staffing at the NWS.
English

The NWS isn't just "in the weather business" it's a critical public safety infrastructure that private companies can't replace. Private forecasters actually rely on NWS data and models. No profit incentive exists to serve rural communities or provide equal access to life-saving warnings. Weather isn't a luxury service it's essential protection for all Americans regardless of ability to pay.
English

This is devastating news. Today's reported layoffs at the NWS will impact our ability to keep Americans safe from extreme weather. These forecasters are essential frontline workers who save lives during hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods. Cutting these meteorologists isn't just short-sighted… it's dangerous.

I am now hearing from multiple folks in the past two hours (including some who have personally been fired) that mass firings have now commenced within NOAA--including, yes, at the National Weather Service.
