I've signed. Rishi Sunak said this week that "nobody wants a general election". Well it seems that more than 110,000 people do so far. If you'd like to, then add your signature here ⏬️ to CALL AN IMMEDIATE GENERAL ELECTION And RT🙏🏼👍🏼 petition.parliament.uk/petitions/6419…

@larkylass1982 Yes, did it in August. Main thing is not to underestimate it. Toughest walking I've done, in very boggy conditions. Plan for it to take longer than you think. And take a GPS, if just for occasional grid refs. But it was awesome!

@daniela_barilla @BiologyatYork @mjplevin @insanity_one Thank you all for the kind words. A tough journey indeed, although that feels somewhat insensitive given current🌍events. Thanks to Michael Plevin & Nick Robinson for examining, James C & Paul P. Mostly, thanks to Daniela, without whom I could not have made it to journey's end.

@Debunk_the_Funk @allangmiller1 It also seems to me that Figure 3 shows opposite to what they claim? Negative control also shows increased LINE expression levels at last time point, and so not a result of induction by vaccine. Unless I've read it wrong.

@allangmiller1 It wouldn’t, LINE1 is selective for its own genetic sequence but it is not exclusive, so it would target several different molecules. For their in-vitro experiment, they provide a ton of BNT162b2 construct for LINE1 to interact with. They’re basically forcing the result they want

When Peter deleted his tweet from the other day about this topic, I thought for a second that maybe he had a moment of realization and humility. Turns out that no, no he did not. He’s still entirely wrong about this. twitter.com/enirenberg/sta…

I can't believe @UniOfYork told all funded PhD students they could have 6 months funded extensions and then took it away! 😡

@RichardDawkins Raymond Chandler penned some crackers in the Philip Marlowe books, which are fantastic by the way. "It was a blonde. A blonde that could make a Bishop kick a hole in a stained glass window."

The love of language. And the genius of PG Wodehouse: “I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” “He had the appearance of one who has searched for the leak in life's gas-pipe with a lighted candle.” More here: bit.ly/2w5vKtu
