My first trip away in almost two years was always going to be a visit to Lourdes to thank Jesus and Our Lady for all who, through their ministry have kept our parish vibrant and alive during the pandemic. Praying also for all the intentions of our parishioners. @G_KParish

This week, as church we celebrate “Good Shepherd Sunday”. As a priest, for almost 20 yrs. I constantly reflect why literally we seem to be terminally ill in terms of recruitment. Then I think of gender, celibacy, alienation of the margins...humbly I understand why....

A special mass in St. Fiaccs House today to mark the retirement of two very dedicated nurses. We ask Gods Blessings on them both @G_KParish

Lenten lunch today in St. Fiacc’s House from 12.30pm to 2.00pm in aid of Carlow Kilkenny Home Care team.

Blessing and distribution of ashes for Ash Wednesday at 8am & 10am masses in St. Clare’s and 7pm in Holy Cross @G_KParish May this lent be a time of real renewal for all of us and for our church.

New oratory in @knockbegcollege now complete. We will be celebrating our Ash Wednesday ceremonies there tomorrow. @BishopDNulty
