Pray for Tommy S., who lived for thirty years in a wheelchair and passed away this morning. He got married and adopted a child after his accident.

Beautiful baby boy! I've mentioned on here, but haven't really announced it: My husband and I are expecting another son this winter. He has a disability; we believe it to be manageable. We love him dearly. The heaviness of the diagnosis (and the unknowns), the endless tests, the pressure from some doctors to "explore options" (hard no!) has put me in a dark place. Sometimes I only post the good parts of motherhood, but this is part of it too: grappling with the limits of our own control, bearing the extraordinary heaviness of the responsibility. But the Lord has great plans for us, He does not abandon us in times of need. He is forming our family in ways we don't fully realize. Anyway, we think he's beautiful; here's a picture. Please pray for us and for his health. We know the burdens we carry now will feel small in time, with God's grace and provision, and that he is just nothing but blessing.

“Held accountable” Here’s an idea. How about we NOT destroy the reputation of every person who happens to make a mistake or be an a** on camera? A wild idea, I know.

Please pray for my daughter, Paige. She's on the way to the ER with my husband and oldest daughter after my son dropped her on her head this afternoon. She had a concussion and has thrown up a few times since. We're hoping to rule out a brain bleed.

@FrHilderbrand It’s not only a question of priorities; even if every issue in the diocese had been addressed, condemning altar rails and kneeling for Holy Communion would still be wrong.

But seriously, what is with the handful of bishops who have recently (in the last number of months) issued strong, negative statements about communion rails and kneeling for Holy Communion? Like, y'all need to re-prioritize. There are much bigger fish to fry.
