There is a lot of conflicting advice in the VO community about what you should or shouldn't do. It's important to note that what works for someone else might not work for you & vice versa. Take advice with a grain of salt & experiment to figure out what brings YOU success ❤️

Reasons I've seen voice actors get fired: 🚫Late to every group record. Gone after a few weeks. 🤯Didn't test their equipment before a remote record & it didn't work. Replaced due to time constraints. ☠️Mouthing off to the director 📺 Watching videos instead of paying attention

I've been getting a lot of e-mails from aspiring actors lately who want advice on how to be voice actors. I script write full-time, act, help out with directing & I'm a mom, so my weeks are always jam-packed. So here's a handy thread of resources! (Feel free to add any I missed!)

Voice actors! Be sure to pay attention to formatting rules when you are working on a project. Here are things to pay attention to (research if you need to): File format. (wav, .mp3, .ogg) Stereo or Mono? Bitrate. (16-bit, 24-bit, 32-bit) Sample Rate. (44100Hz vs 48000Hz)
